Privacy nerd, and advocate for human and digital rights.
I was an Associate Professor in Communication Design and (Docent) Information Systems at Linköping University (Sweden) (2015–2025), founder of the Nordic Privacy Center (2020–2023) and the Nordic Nerds reading group. Currently, I advise private corporations on data governance and privacy while transitioning into a new academic role.
An expert in privacy and personal data, I’ve contributed to AI4People’s “Healthcare and AI” and “Media & Technology and AI” boards and serve on their Scientific Committee. Since 2022, I’ve been a board member at DFRI – Digital Freedom and Rights Association (Sweden) and previously at the Digital Enlightenment Forum (Netherlands, 2020–2023). My advisory work spans personal data, privacy, AI ethics, IoT/Smart Cities, and e-health. I’ve taught courses on Big Data ethics, privacy in Smart Cities, sociotechnical factors in cybersecurity, and international marketing.
My research explores sensitive data disclosure on internet platforms, surveillance tech, and ethical data collection in wearables and IoT. I’ve written on Nordic AI policy values—trust, transparency, and openness—and recently studied consumer views on data privacy in drone delivery across the US and five Nordic countries.
